Free Regional Workshops For New Qualification Launch
Sports Leaders UK will be holding free regional workshops around
the country to coincide with the launch of the new Level 2 Award in
Assisting in Basic Expedition Leadership.
Staff will be on hand to introduce tutors and assessors to the
new qualification, which is already proving very popular.
The series of launch workshops will be of interest to you
if:
- You work with aspiring expedition leaders aged 16 and
upwards.
- You work with adults who would like to assist with expedition
leadership but not take full responsibility for the group.
- You are looking for a stepping stone to the Level 3 Award in
Day Walk Leadership or the Level 3 Certificate in Basic Expedition
Leadership.
- You need a 'knowledge qualification' for the Intermediate
Activity Leadership programme
The workshops will cover the qualification remit and structure,
an overview of the unit contents, training, leadership hours,
assessment and internal verification, costs and other
requirements.
Workshop dates are as follows:
- January 5, 2012 - Streetly Sport Centre, Walsall.
- January 25, 2012 - John Charles Centre, Leeds.
