Level 2 Award in Dance Leadership
The Level 2 Award in Dance Leadership provides the ideal starting
point for learners who are aged 16 years and over and who wish to
develop their dance leadership skills.
The syllabus has been designed to develop generic leadership
skills that can be applied to a variety of dance situations, as
well as contributing to the personal development of the learner. It
is a practical qualification in which learners must demonstrate
their ability to lead in simple dance activities.
The aim of this qualification is to give the leaders a breadth
of knowledge to be able to be an effective leader. The
qualification aims to teach them about the skills and abilities
required to be a leader. The learner will not be assessed on their
ability to perform, therefore technical aptitude of the learner is
not paramount to the completion of the qualification.
