Guided Learning Hours
Units of work and time allocation
The Level 2 Award in Dance Leadership consists of seven units of
work. All units are mandatory in order for the learner to
successfully complete the qualification.
The table below provides the suggested average learning time for
all the units that make up the Level 2 Award in Dance
Leadership.
The table also shows the notional learning time that Sports
Leaders UK believe to be reasonable for each unit. The guided
learning hours and the notional learning time are combined to
create the average learning time; which is used to calculate the
credit value of each qualification.
Guided learning hours = the number of tutored
hours that Sports Leaders UK suggest would be required to deliver
the unit.
Notional learning time = the amount of
additional time suggested by Sports Leaders UK that learners would
need to include outside of their guided learning hours in order to
complete the unit.
Average learning time = the number of guided
learning hours, plus the notional learning time in order to
complete the unit.
