Level 3 Certificate in Basic Expedition Leadership (BEL3) CPD

There are two options for tutors seeking training for Sports Leaders UK outdoor leadership qualifications, offering a separate programme for both new and experienced tutors of the Level 3 Award in Day Walk Leadership and the Level 3 Certificate in Basic Expedition Leadership.

For experienced and previously trained tutors

Four Tutor Training days running over a full day (09:15 to 16:00) will be on offer to tutors who have attended the Level 3 training previously and/or have had experience of delivering DWL/BEL courses since they became Level 3 qualifications in September 2010. The training is not suitable for new tutors or for tutors who have only delivered the Level 2 Award in Basic Expedition Leadership (NQF). These training days will update tutors with new requirements to ensure that the most up-to-date processes are understood and can be readily applied.

There will be many opportunities for tutors to share their good practice and experiences for courses previously delivered in order to take away new ideas. The day will be broken into two sections, with the morning being classroom based and the afternoon session being an outdoor practical session.
