Detectives Game

This is a version of a playground game with many different names. Its simple structure makes it a good example of a game that will encourage leaders to consider how they will organise themselves to lead.

Instructions:

  • Players: 4+
  • Equipment: a small object such as a tennis ball or bean bag.
  • Nominate one person as the first detective to stand facing away from the rest of the group.
  • The others will decide who will hold the object behind their back and then stand side-by-side and call out 'Guess who?'.
  • The detective must then guess who has the object.
  • Each player has a turn of being detective.
  • The detective with the lowest score wins.

This game can be extended in many ways, one of these could be if there is a larger group, the detective can ask some yes/no questions to help eliminate suspects and identify who has the object.
